I had Acrobat X Pro on a previous laptop that got hacked and a virus so I said forget it and just bought a new desktop. I then destroyed the laptop (that was fun!!!) and took it to e-cycling with a box of other random electronics that have been laying around for years! Anyway, I went to reinstall the actual software and it give me a message that I need to deactivate the previous installation!!! I can’t! I no longer have the device. Anyone know how I can reinstall my software. I only use it at tax time these days so I will not pay for a subscription. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Roberta

Yes, I’m quite aware but it still works perfectly on my computer and we’ll be retiring soon and I only need it to work for about 1 more year, maybe less. If you read my original post, you’d understand my situation. I truly feel taken advantage of by ADOBE and feel they could accommodate me very easily. For some reason they are refusing. I could mention all the other organizations I worked with that I encouraged to spend $1000 on their packages but they don’t care that I totally supported and promoting them for years.

@GARFERS you might be able to ‘deactivate’ you account if you go to go adobe.com account. When you log in, click on the your avatar, top right hand corner, and click on manage account. Under Plans and Payment, select Activated Devices. Click on ‘Deactivate’

THANKS!! However, when I went there it shows I have NOTHING activated! Funny thing is I have CS5 and CS6 on my new computer. We were scheduled for a phone call but they never called - 4 days in a row!! So I’ll be calling them back Monday I guess. Thanks, I’ll put your tip in my notes in case I need it again.

@GARFERS do you have the correct email and Adobe ID? I actually have three accounts, one personal (when I graduated from art school, one for work, and one for another work—I literally got confused, that I accidentally even updated my work one with another work code!) — I couldn’t say anything because I would get into trouble for it!
