Question

Acrobat Pro XI for Mac: The document could not be saved. This file cannot be found.

I am trying to convert a PDF document to Encapsulated PostScript using Acrobat Pro XI for Mac.

I receive the following error message:

The document could not be saved. This file cannot be found.

The PDF was created in Preview and shows an Excel chart. It is a roundabout way of producing a figure that preserves the line vectors of the chart, which is required by a publisher.

I have tried changing the conversion settings, have tried converting the document without having rotated it, have recreated the PDF and saved it to different folders, and have tried saving the converted file to different folders. What is frustrating is that I have successfully saved charts built in Excel as PDF and then converted them into EPS without any problems.

If anyone has encountered a similar problem and been able to address it, I hope you can help.

Thanks!
