acrobat professional 8 is not accepting my serial number for cs3

i downloaded and installed a trial version of the latest acrobat professional software from the adobe web site but decided it was not what i am looking for.

i uninstalled the trial version from by Win 10 computer and reinstalled my copy of acrobat pro 8 from my cs3 disk.  when i run the program it asks for my serial number but when i enter the number for my cs3 package i get an error message that the number is not valid.  all of the other applications from cs3 are running with no problem.

can you send me a serial number that will work.  if you need the original number i can provide it.

the acrobat serial number may be different from your cs3 suite serial number.

i have had acrobat installed along with photoshop and illustrator for years using the cs3 installation disk and serial number.  it is part of the same package and does not have a separate serial number.

with each computer upgrade, i have installed the package (after deactivating on the old computer), entered the serial number into either photoshop or illustrator the first time either of those programs are run the first time after which acrobat runs with no further intervention.  in fact, after an initial installation of the cs3 package, i cannot run acrobat until i run one of the other 2 applications and enter the serial number for the package.
