Question

Acrobat randomly opens to a white blank screen. Version 2025.001.20643 64-bit. Win 11

Since the last update of Acrobat through Creative Cloud, Acrobat has been randomly opening to a blank screen, nothing along the top other than Acrobat. It just sits there.  Doesn't close. I can close it, but it may open up again later.  Seems to trigger when I open a browser window (Microsoft Edge) or File Explorer.  Version for Acrobat in subject.  I have uninstalleld and re-installed and it continues to happen.  Thanks!

Hello @EmSi.Studios

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out. We're sorry for the trouble you had,

Could you please install the latest build of Acrobat: 25.001.20672, Sept 03, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again. Let us know if you still get the same blank screen.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

Added a screenshot of the window that opens.  This time it was full screen.

Thanks! EmSi

Hi @EmSi.Studios ,

I've seen this before with other users of this community and on my own computers. It is my impression that, in some cases, the installation packages or redistributables that are shipped with the Creative Cloud (CC) desktop app may conflict with some (or all) of  Adobe Acrobat updates (but I may be wrong though).

If you are one of those users that are having this issue, just for troubleshooting purposes uninstall Acrobat completely from the CC desktop app. Instead, install Adobe Acrobat Pro  as a stand alone software (separate from Creative Cloud suite).

To do so, use this download and installation guide:

See if this helps.
