Question

Acrobat Reader and Acrotbat Pro on one computer

Hello,

my university license allows me to use Acrobat Pro with Creative Cloud also on my private computer, but I can (for sure) open only one instance at the same time (either at university computer or at the private computer). For this reason my family members would like to use the free license of Acrobat Reader at the same time, but it seems to be not possible to have installed the Pro Version and the Free Version simultaneously on one computer (even if my family members use different log ins). Is there any solution, to prevent that we have to use a reader of another company?

Regards,

Dennis

Hi @dennis_2645,

Hope you are doing well. Thanks for writing in!

Since Acrobat and Reader have moved to a unified installer, it would be difficult to have two versions of the application in one system.

However, to achieve this, one way could be to use different user accounts and use the main account with the entitlements, and the other user account for Reader version.

Hope this helps.
