Acrobat Reader DC Has Not Successfully Updating Since Oct 2019 Release
I've noticed unsuccessful updates of ReaderDC for several months (last update was 19.021.20048 and last upated on Oct 20/2019) and decided to a) try to do a direct update from Adobe. I tried both Chrome and Firefox and get at about 56% installed it stops and I get "Installation failed. Click 'Finish' for further a..."
b) I tried to go to Setting/Apps and uninstall the program which is 499MB and get the error "Uninstallation of the patch package is not supported."
c) I then tried to go to the direct link and install from my PC with an .exe but got a similar error as using the browser installer route.
d) Tried to delete the Adobe folder from Program Files (x86) and was able to delete all of the files except for the resources/cmap folder (seems they are used by the "System" and cannot change the setting even using the resources here (:https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cannot-uninstall-or-delete-acrobat.html)
but the program still shows up as an app and I get all of the above error still.
I went to the chat line and no resolution and they sent me here. When sent to this link, I got this error message. (https://get.adobe.com/reader/completion/adm/?exitcode=1646&type=install&re=0&appId=200)
