Acrobat reader DC - MacOs memory pressure

On my Mac Book Air, Mac Os Mojave, i have a problem of memory pressure with Reader DC.

When I open a pdf document, 2 process are launched :

- rdrCEF ( 50 Mo of memory )

- rdrCEF Helper ( 50 Mo of memory )

But, when I open many documents, for example 10 :

- rdrCEF = 1 process

- rdtCEF Helper = 10 processes

I suppose, it's not a normal behaviour.

Because on anothe Mac, I have only 2 processes for 10 documents.

And on Windows system also.

Can you explain me this problem.

I have the same latest version of acrobat reader on the two Mac.

Thank you for your helping.

    Hi Asselin,

Thanks for reaching out. As described above, you are getting issues with the processes opened in the backend for the opening a file, correct?

We need some more information for a better understanding:

    • What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC installed on your computer? To check version of the application, please go to Help > Click, About Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, also please check for any missing updates by clicking Check for Updates.
    • Could you please share the log file of the event for testing. Please upload the log files on the document cloud - https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/home/ and generate the share link and share the link with us.  Find the logs at "~/Library/Logs/" on the Mac.

    Regards,

    Amal
