Hya Paul.

I have the same problem and it is at a windows 11 laptop computer at home..(only used by me), over the years I have noticed this was happening (also on my previous laptop). I just always slide it back to where I want it and then it stays there a while until someday I switch on the pc and there I see it has changed once more !?!?!  Like You I have zéro problems with other icons (/ shortcuts) on the desktop.

So I would also be interested to know why this is.

It is not crucial I guess but a bit annoying 😃

Cheers

Hi @mle_m_6296

Sorry for the troubled experience.

If your machine is IT-managed, please consult your IT team, as @Abambo suggested. If this is your personal machine, please try recording your screen. This will help us understand what exactly is happening, making it easy for us to discuss with engineering and replicate the issue.

Please ensure your copy of Acrobat is updated, to check for any pending updates, launch Acrobat > Help > Check For Updates.

If you are still experiencing the issue help us with the following details:

  1. Acrobat version installed:  https://adobe.ly/3PQQ7nE
  2. OS name and version.
  3. Screen recording showing the problem.

Thank you for your feedback and continued support.

I suppose it's no problems with other shortcuts.

Do you also move other shortcuts?

The position of the shortcut's is managed by the OS. On Windows systems (that's what I have), you have at least 2 different options for shortcut placement. One is all users and the other is your user. If all users is protected, as it is often with managed systems, you can't permanently change the shortcut. You will need IT support to remove the shortcut, so that you cannplace the shortcut for your user as you wish.
