Acrobat Reader stopped printing poster size and Advanced > Print As Image - uncheck, does not fix th

Issue: Acrobat Reader for mac (newest version at time of posting) stopped printing in poster size.

Working fine today printing many pages for posters for a project and then Acrobat Reader suddenly greyed-out the poster option.

Did a quick search and found that unchecking Print As Image should fix the problem, which it did for being able to access the poster option...

but

No matter what size you change Tile Scale to, it will still only print the full size image on one sheet of paper as opposed to the 8 sheets it calls for (in my case)

Not sure why this is happening as Acrobat Reader did not have a problem earlier when creating many posters today.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

I have this issue also, no matter what we try there is no way to split a print across multiple pages. The print dialog recognises the number of pages required to print above the preview image and the preview image shows the correct print line markup but beneath the preview image the number of pages to be printed always say "1 of 1".

I just installed an old version of the software from 2019 (AcroRdrDC_1901220036_MUI) and the same sequence worked fine to print out the split image across multiple pages. Disregard my comment of the 1 of 1 being displayed beneath the preview. It still says 1 of 1 in the 2019 software version, yet still prints out all the correct pages. So the workaround as of version 2024.00120643 is to download an older version, probably < 2023.

There has been no update on this in a week's time....this is creating many issues for many people who rely on this feature. Can we please get some information?

I'm having the same issue with both of my Macs. I noticed on the print window that even though the picture shows the image tiled across 8 pages, underneath it, it says page 1 of 1.

I'm having the same issue. Use the print poster mode ALL the time and I NEED it for my job. Tonight I go on to print poster and it's not letting me!! 😞

Something new, the greyed out poster option. Which under advanced unclicking the print as image then allows you to click print poster, and shows it like your screenshot. Print xx pages but page 1-1 and only prints on a single 8.5"x11" sheet versus the scale of the actual file and poster size. I have restarted, deleted reinstalled, app updates. It's got to be a system bug they need to fix. And they need to fix it quickly!! But been using for years and no problem, until tonight. So dissapointing ADOBE!

There is no Acrobat Reader. It's either Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader. This is the Acrobat forum.

However, you probably meant the Adobe PDF printer, since the Adobe Reader cannot print anything. It's only a reader, as the name says.

Solution: probably do a repair install of your Adobe PDF printer or the Adobe Acrobat installation to see if that helps.

I'm having exactly the same problem as OP and my application is literally called Adobe Acrobat Reader so I'm not sure I understand your comment. I would really love a solution though, but I will try reinstalling

You're right. Logical would be Adobe Acrobat or just Acrobat and Adobe Reader or just Reader. Instead the editor is Acrobat and the Reader is Acrobat Reader. I'm pretty sure, back in the day, it was different.

By the way: what means "stopped"? It's not available anymore as selectable output size?
