Acrobat Save As Dialog Blank

Hello,

We are having intermittent issues with the Save As dialog box appearing blank for some users. I am aware of the workaround to turn off the "Show online storage when saving / opening files" preferences, but want to know if there is a permanent solution to this where those preferences can actually be used.

Additionally, I think this bug is causing other issues in Acrobat as the same users with the Save As problem are getting a blank box when clicking the Email button (even if the preferences are off).

Acrobat, Windows, Office (we use 365) are all up-to-date. I have repaired / uninstalled / reinstalled Acrobat and sometimes it will fix the issues for a couple of days and then they come back. Our users are understandably frustrated and workarounds that change the way they process hundreds of files is unacceptable, in my opinion. Hoping we can pressure Adobe into taking this issue more seriously and actually addressing it in a meaningful way. Thanks for any help!

Hi there

Sorry to keep you waiting. The planned update for Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC version 21.11.20039  is now available. Please update the application from the help menu > Check for updates  and reboot the computer once.

You may also download the patch manually from the link https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html  and see if that works for you.

For more information about the new release please check the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/whats-new.html

Let us know if you experience any trouble and need more help

Hi Amal,

The patch is only partially working. Our end users will experience the same behavior as before and if they restart Adobe it will work for a little while and then it repeats so they are having to restart Adobe frequently throughout the day. Please advise, thank you.

Hi there,

We are sorry to hear that. Please go to Edit (Win), Adobe Acrobat (MAC) > Preferences >  General > Uncheck 'Show online storage when saving file' and 'Show online storage when opening file' > click OK and reboot the computer and check.
