About the PostScript issue, do you mean you are not able to import or export from Acrobat? Does the PDF file have any restrictions? Also, is it possible for your provide us the file?

To check a PDF file’s restrictions in Adobe Acrobat (or even Acrobat Reader), you can follow these steps:

1. Open the PDF in Acrobat or Reader

  • If it’s password-protected, you may be prompted to enter the password first.

2. Go to Document Properties

  • Windows: Press Ctrl + D

  • Mac: Press Cmd + D

  • Or go to File > Properties.

3. Switch to the “Security” tab

  • You’ll see the Security Method (e.g., No Security, Password Security, Certificate Security, etc.).

    • Printing allowed/not allowed

    • Content copying allowed/not allowed

    • Page extraction allowed/not allowed

    • Commenting, form filling, signing, etc.

Below that, the Document Restrictions Summary lists permissions such as:

4. Interpret the results

  • If restrictions are in place, they will be marked as “Not Allowed.”

  • If you see “Security Method: No Security,” there are no restrictions.

Hi @beate_4930

Thanks for reaching out.

I see two things here:

1. You are having trouble exporting a PostScript file from InDesign to Acrobat.

        - Could you please elaborate on this issue, and should we focus on that?

2. You are having trouble creating a PDF file from Amazon.

     - We need to understand how you are creating the file. Do you have access to create the file from that location? What is your workflow?

Help with more information about these two issue, or is it one issue, so we could assist you better.

Best regards,

Hello Tariq,

1. The PS file from Indesign seems to be fine.

2. The problem is: I can`t export the PS file in Acrobat. Issue:

Acrobat just doesn`t react.

This is an example for the PS file:

Amazon requires a PDF generated from PRINT, not from export. The emojis shown are painted in black and white in their results. This is my InDesign file.

Beate
