Acrobat Search

Is there a way to search in Acrobat Pro thorugh the current document and it's attachments at the same time? I can't seem to find that anywhere. I can access the advanced search function, but it doesn't not include attached files. I need a simple function for clients to be able to open a document, click the search button (which I've created) and be able to search all attached files. 

Or is there a script that can be added to a button that will search all documents (current and attached)?

Answer is yes, but I don't know if this can be used by a script.

I don't think it's possible, not even with a script. The only way it might work is if you created an Index for the file and all of the attachments, and then used that index for the search, but I'm not 100% sure about that.
