Acrobat Standard 2017 - Rotating single pages rotates text but not page dimensions!

Hi,

I recently upgraded from Acrobat XI Standard to Acrobat Standard 2017 and, of course, the visual presentation has completely changed. I'll get used to it.

What should not have changed, however, is what happens when I elect to rotate a single page within a multi-page PDF.

For instance, let's say I want to rotate page 2, clockwise 90 degrees. Currently, it is presented in portrait orientation but its text reads sideways because that's how it was typed up before someone scanned it into a PDF. I want landscape orientation for that page as its viewed in the PDF so that its text will be right side up, so you don't have to crank your neck to read it. Simple task to rotate.

With XI Standard, I clicked on the page to "highlight" it, then clicked the "rotate" icon and, voila, it is now landscape and the text is right side up. Happy, happy.

However, with Standard 2017, I click on the page to "highlight" it, then click the rotate icon, but only the text rotates. The portrait orientation of the page stays portrait! It does not rotate to landscape. What I end up with is my text chopped off on both left and right. Do you follow me?

I don't know why this would be desirable or be the default way to rotate. In any case, can someone please tell me how to make the portrait/landscape orientation rotate along with the text? I've tried searching forums but no luck.

Thank you.

EDIT:

However, with Standard 2017, I click on the page to "highlight" it, then click on EDIT PDF in right-side column, then click the rotate icon, but only the text rotates.

Ok, I found how to rotate intact. It's VERY different. Upon adding the above EDIT, I wondered if editing the PDF in this way was no longer considered editing the PDF? Sometimes, programmers' thinking goes like that. Seems my hunch paid off.

To rotate individual pages intact, do not highlight any pages. Do not click on EDIT PDF. Do not pass GO. Do not collect two hundred dollars.

Instead, click on Organize Pages in the right-side columns. You will be presented a new screen with all the pages as thumbnails. Hover your cursor over the page you wish to rotate and magically three icons will appear in the thumbnail, two for rotating the page and one for deleting. Rotate your page and it will rotate correctly.

When done, click on the big X above the right-side column (not the BIG X on your browser) nd you will return to the PDF view, showing your page correctly rotated with respect to portrait/landscape orientation, and no text chopped off.

Hope this helps anyone else. Sorry I blew up! LOL.
