Acrobat Standard 9.0 problem on Windows 10

I just had to replace my hard drive. I have installed my Acrobat Standard 9.0, and inputted my serial number (which it accepted with a green check mark). It then tried to search for the eligible product that I used when I upgraded: Acrobat 6 Pro. I still have that Serial number,  but, of course, the installation can't find that product on my new drive. I can't get past the request for the eligible product.

Any ideas?

You should be able to just enter the serial number for the product that made you upgrade eligible. Take a second look at the serial number screens, you should have to enter two different numbers - the one for the product you are installing, and one for the eligible product.

However, keep in mind that Acrobat 9 is not supported on Windows 10.

I just tried the installation again, and at the "Upgrade Check" screen, I select my old Adobe Acrobat 6 Professional product, and then in the text field provided, I enter the old serial number for the qualifying product, but a window comes up saying not valid.

Incidentally, I have successfully used Acrobat Standard 9.0 for over a year on Windows 10

Unfortunately, in that case I am out of ideas. With licensing problems, only Adobe can provide help. Chances are that they are not willing to help because Acrobat 9 is no longer supported - and definitely not on Windows 10. http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html (don't use any of the "Forum" options, otherwise you will end up here again)
