Acrobat Studio takes over computer?

Ok maybe not my computer, but my gosh. I decided to try Acrobat Studio so I could edit some PDF files I have for work. I installed it and soon I kept getting PDF pages closing on me and it kept opening edge to have me sign in over and over. I finally restarted my computer and now all my browswer settings are reset to Microsof Edge for everything. What the heck???? This makes me very mad. I used to love Adobe. I had Premier pro, photo shop, and After effects. Adobe drove me away a couple years ago with stuff. Today I decided to come back and try this and now they have basically hyjacked my computer. I do not appreciate this. It really makes me want to just cancel my trial and never return to adobe.

   Thank you for responding. Once I restarted my computer, and reset all my browser settings back to Brave instead of Edge, the problem has not happened again.  I am now able to open and scroll through PDF documents with no issues. So unfortunatly I can not repeat the issue. It seems to be behaving correctly now after restarting my computer.

Thank you for sharing your feedback so openly. I completely understand how frustrating this must have been for you, especially after deciding to give Acrobat Studio another try. Your experience with repeated sign-in prompts and browser settings changing is absolutely not what we want for our users, and I’m truly sorry this happened.

To help us investigate and prevent this from happening again, could you please share:

 

1. Diagnostic Logs from Acrobat Studio (these will help us identify any errors or conflicts).

    To collect the logs:

  • Download and run the Diagnostics Utility from:  https://adobe.ly/4ngyV9e
  • Click on Start Diagnostics. Ensure advanced logging is checked.
  • Launch Acrobat, reproduce the issue with your file.
  • Once done, click Stop Monitoring.
  • Copy the Log ID and share it with us. 

2. Step-by-Step Details of the process you followed to install and set up the application. Even small details like which prompts you accepted or skipped can be very helpful.

 

Our goal is to understand exactly what went wrong so we can resolve it quickly and ensure no one else faces this issue. We value your trust and would love the chance to make this right.
