    Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out. We are sorry for the trouble you are experiencing.

Trying to request E signature, app starts to load it, gets to 72% then says “proxy error”

Would you mind sharing more details about the issue you experiencing:

    1. What is the version of the Acrobat Application and the OS you are using? Go to Help > About Acrobat and check for any pending/missing updates Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
    2. Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.
    3. What is the workflow/steps you are taking? A small video recording of the steps and the issue occuring would be very helpful.

As a workaround, please try the steps below and see if that helps:

    1. Sign out of the application, reboot the device once and re-login and check if that works.
    2. Try to repair installation (Win Only). Go to Help > Repair Installation and reboot the application.
    3. Check the Adobe Service Status to ensure there isn't a server-side outage. If you are behind a corporate firewall, ensure that Adobe's required domains are whitelisted.

Additionally, you may also try to request signature online here https://adobe.na1.adobesign.com/account/requestSignatures  If it works online, the issue is isolated to your desktop app or local network settings.

NoteEnsure the PDF is not password-protected before requesting a signature. Removing password protection often resolves immediate "could not send" errors

Let us know how it goes.

A couple of my users have it.  I was able to replicate it on my PC as well and at first I thought it was an issue with our firewall or content filter so I contacted the network team and while we were looking at it I ran across this thread.  I saw a similar issue earlier in the forums that said to use the web upload instead of the app based one and that worked fine for my people for now.  Also the “More Options” workaround will probably be easier because everybody is used to using the app instead of the web.  The weird thing is it is intermittent for me when i was testing “Specify where to sign” i tested 5 times in a row earlier, 3 were blocked and 2 went through just fine.

Ya same here - Contacted support and they seem to be aware. Ive told my users to use Acrobat in the web and that works

I’m getting this as well….If I click “More Options” instead of “Specify Where to Sign” it seems to work.
