Acrobat X 10.1.6 / Win10 Pro / HP Officejet 8500A - Crash after last page scanned

Am running Acrobat X 10.1.16 under Win 10 Pro, with HP Officejet Pro 8500A scanner / printer with doc feeder

After successfully scanning multipage docs to pdf for many months (since installing Win 10), the last few weeks have seen repeated crashing of Acrobat X after the scanning of the last page of the doc (I believe via TWAIN), but before final processing to pdf

No clue as to the problem - "Windows has detected a problem, will close the program,  and will search for a solution" - then nothing

My gut feeling is that the problems started after the Centennial (Millennial?) Win10 update, but that's merely a hunch

Any suggestions gratefully received

Sorry for the issue you are facing. Acrobat X is an old version expired in 2015. There could be compatibility issue, as it was never supported for Win 10.  You can try some options Troubleshooting tips for scanner issues when using Acrobat , if it helps.

Also please use trial version of latest Acrobat Download Adobe Acrobat free trial | Acrobat Pro DC

Thanks.
