Question

Acrobat X Pro scans both sides even though set to just front sides

I'm using Acrobat X Pro in Windows 10 on a Dell XPS 1560 laptop with a Brother MFC-9970CDW multi-function scanner, printer, fax, copier.  I always use Acrobat to scan documents and for many years it scans both sides even though I have it set to scan only front sides.  I've lived with it, having to delete every other page (extremely annoying), but I recently had an occasion to talk to Brother tech support and decided to try to fix the problem.  Brother had me scan using the Brother Control Center and only front sides scanned, so that tells me it's definitely a problem with Acrobat, so here I am, asking for help on how to fix it.  As I typed in my subject I saw (under similar subjects) that someone else asked about exactly this problem in 2019 but there were no responses.  Hopefully that won't happen this time.  Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.

Acrobat X is an old and unsupported version, and is not officially compatible with any current OS, so problems are to be expected.
To increase the chances of it working properly make sure you have all updates installed (up to 10.1.16) and run it in Compatibility Mode with an earlier OS, like Windows 7.

Updates are available here:
ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/10.x/
You must use a dedicated FTP client to open the link, it won't work in most browsers.

Thanks so much!  I am already running version 10.1.16, but setting Acrobat to run in compatability mode with Windows 7 solved the problem!

Oops - typo.  Not that it likely matters, but my laptop is a Dell XPS 9560 laptop, not a 1560.
