Acrobat XI pro - Authentication test fail

To whom it may concern,

I purchased two acrobat XI pro (Mac and window version) from shop.edu.cn in China. But I found that it was revoked by Adobe at the beginning of 2019. I did search on the internet and found that there are so many customers in China have the same problem. For more information, please check https://www.zhihu.com/question/295089636.

I contact representative but they don't give any solution. In order to continue my work, I had to purchase a new one from newegg online.

As you know, it will be more convenient to download and install cracked versions but I choose to pay for authentic Adobe software in order to honor your intellectual property. It is unacceptable to revoke the product without any communication to the customer first. Obviously, Adobe’s action and attitude have raised very serious aversion to me and make me lose not only heart to Adobe but also money.

Believe it or not, when I logged in my Adobe account, and ironically, the serial number (windows) version you revoked is still under my registered product. How can you develop a validation test program at a later time point and revoke the Adobe products you think is unauthorized? Do you want your customers be made by themselves a validation test program to check it after they purchased the software? How do you explain the serial number I purchased 5 years ago can be successfully registered and shown in my account?

I don't work for Adobe and don't know the details of your case, but it's possible you were sold a serial number which is valid, but is still pirated. For example, a serial number belonging to a volume license, which exceeded its seat limits and was sold illegally.

Unless you buy your software from Adobe directly, or from a recognized reseller, you're taking a big risk of being scammed, or even of getting virus- or malware-infected software.

I do agree that once a s/n has been revoked that it should be removed from the Products page of your account on Adobe.com.

Who recommended it on social media? Adobe? If not, you're on your own.
