Acrobat XI Pro, "Sanitize Document" reduces doc's resolution

Hi,

I'm having trouble with Acrobat's Sanitize Document function.

Each time I use it and Save the changes by overwriting the sanitized document, the document's resolution is lowered to 150 DPI from 300 DPI.

I don't Save as Optimized so I have no clue why the document's resolution is being lowered. Is Sanitize Document somehow connected to Optimize PDF?

Where do I disable the change of resolution?

Thanks,

Mark

The fault you have described is due to overlapping objects on one or more pages of your PDF files.

Do not just hit the sanitize button, instead clickon selective sanitize and when Acrobat has identified what you might want to lose uncheck the option that removes overlapping objects.

Forgot to mention, this free online PDF documents analyzer will identify the pages that are causing your problems.

Hi Simon,

This behavior is As-Designed.

During the sanitization process, every PDPage having images is rasterized and this is done at a fixed dpi of 144.

However, I have reported this as a change request to the concerned team. We will inform you if there is a workaround or change in the same.

Thanks,

Girija
