Question

add a bookmark

Hi,

All I want is to add a bookmark in a document I am reading - do I really need to buy a subscription to do something so simple? I click on the bookmark and nothing happens. I can't highlight it. This is utterly ridiculous.

Thanks for the reply. I am pretty sure I have the standard feature and something as basic as adding a bookmark is listed to be available: why are the basics getting more confusing.

Are you paying (or have paid) for Acrobat Standard? If not, you have the free Reader, which was never able to do it. Nothing has changed in this regard.

Thanks for replying. I genuinely have no idea what I have. There are so many options and so many products that it becomes too overwhelming and confusing in figuring out the basics like a bookmark. I'd rather print and highlight than deal with it.

Yes, because it falls under editing the file, which can't be done with the free Reader.

You can use comments instead of bookmarks, though.
