Question

Add a radio buttom to a custom stamp

Greetings and a hearty Merry Christmas to all of you forumites!

I have Acrobat Pro DC 24.005.20320 64-bit installed, and it works wonderfully.  I have been able to create any number of custom dynamic and non-dynamic stamps, and they have increased my productivity by leaps and bounds.

I'm struggling to find a means to have the stamp ask for my input on which 'radio button' to select when I apply the stamp.  I have been able to use the Javascript calculation formula which allows me to enter specific text when I apply a stamp, and that is just amazingly powerful.

Try as I might I just can't figure out how to get the stamp input to ask for a specific radio button to be selected or unsellected.

Could anyone offer me some help?  Please understand I'm sort of slow...

thanks in advance,

Ken Wagoner

You would need to use a Dialog object for such input. This is much more complicated than prompting for textual input in an alert window (which is what I'm assuming you're doing now), though. This topic has been discussed here many times in the past, complete with code examples. Try searching for "dynamic stamp" and I'm sure you'll find some of these threads. There are also paid-for solutions offered for this, either as custom development, tools for creating dialogs, and even an entire book on the subject...

What book are you referring to? Is it about learning Adobe Acrobat JavaScript? If yes, I'd like to know. Thanks!

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
