Hi.

Does anyone know if it is possible to import/add 3D models with labels on elements? Element numbers, node numbers etc.

Hi Joel. Tnx for your reply, it was helpful, but we also need labels visually in the geometry. I think it is possible to use color codes and color legends, but when you have many elements it will be a mess . I know you can add labels manually too, but that will be too much work. Any ideas?

The model tree will have a name for each node... or did you mean to have the label appear visually in the geometry?

I forgot to ask, if it the model tree also have name for each element, and not only the nodes?

Ok - Got it. In order for Acrobat to display content in the 3D model, the geometry needs to be there. If you add the labels as PMI, the text will always be facing the camera so that it can be read. Though you could probably do this via the Acrobat API, I wouldn't recommend it, you're probably better off adding this information during the translation from the 3D source to the U3D or PRC that then gets added to the PDF.
