Hello @olivier_5974

I hope you are doing well, and thank you for reaching out.

Under eIDAS, a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) must be created using a qualified certificate issued by a Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP) and validated against the EU Trusted Lists (EUTL).

You have two supported paths:

1) Cloud QES (recommended) > Acrobat Sign + QTSP

2) Desktop QES > Acrobat with your qualified certificate (card/token)

  • Install the token drivers, add your digital ID in Menu > Preferences > Signatures > Identities & Trusted Certificates > Add ID, and sign using PAdES with timestamp/LTV. Ensure Acrobat trusts the EU Trusted Lists (EUTL) so qualified certs/devices are recognized.
  • Please check these articles to learn more: About certificate signatures in Adobe Acrobat, & European Union Trusted Lists

Please note that Acrobat automatically handles the signature format, so there’s no separate “create QES policy” step inside Acrobat; the eIDAS compliance comes from the qualified certificate and signing service you use. Check this article to learn more: https://adobe.ly/4qg6lY5

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
