Question

"Add text" feature in Acrobat Pro DC for windows 11 not working properly

Using Acrobat Pro DC on DELL PC with windows 11.

When using “Add text” and start typing an address, the street numbers print correctly.  As soon as the space bar or dot(.) or dash is pressed, the cursor jumps behind the number and starts typing there.

So when I type 1234 Main Street

it shows ups as:

Main Street 1234

Then when I right click inside the text box, select “Right to Left”, then right away select “Left to right”, it corrects the mix-up and shows as 1234 Mail Street.  I only have English language on my computer and no other languages, particularly no middle-eastern language where everyone suggests it would be the culprit.

I have done extensive research and gone through all settings and everything looks good, especially LTR & RTL settings, Preference\Language and Preference\Content Editing.

Any help as to why the cursor jumps, is appreciated.

I've run into a similar issue as well. Did you ever manage to resolve it?

I actually did use that Uninstaller. Didn't help. It's amazing that I don't have any problems with Word or Excel or notepad, etc. Only Acrobat text box. All my DELL window settings are good.

Thank you for you suggestion and help.

On a long-shot, check your OS Language settings.

Yes and I completely removed from HD and all entries in registry, twice!

I myself have another computer with same installation and does not have this problem. Really strange.

    Sign out of Acrobat.

    Try this uninstaller:

    Install clean version.
