Adding signature breaks all hyperlinks in PDF

Hello all,

Using acrobat 11 pro, I have noticed the following bug.

I must generate PDF reports which include many other embedded PDF attachments.

In the report, I create links with open those embedded PDFs in a new window. This all works fine.

However, if I place a signature using the "Fill & Sign" menu in order to place my digital signatures, ALL the hyperlinks are deleted.

I can insert a picture of the signature and then secure the document, thereby retaining all the hyperlinks, but it is not a valid digital signature.

Naturally, this is a really big issue for me as both the hyperlinks and digital signature are mandatory.

Last year, before new updates where installed, this issue was not present.

How can I make a digital signature without it deleting all hyperlinks to embedded documents?

Hi,

When you say that all hyperlinks are deleted, do you mean that the entire document becomes read only after the digital signature is applied?

OR,

Do the hyperlinks actually disappear completely?

I have attached a photo to make it more clear.

On the text within the document, I use the "add link" option. The link then would open the corresponding document which was embedded in the PDF.

When I add the signature, the links remain UNTIL I save the signed document. Usually under a new name.

When I click on edit links, all the boxes to click which were visible before are all gone.

This can be seen below.

Hi,

I will document myself better for my next reply.

In the meanwhile, see if this same problem occurs when you use the Sign Tool instead of Fill & Sign.

If I am not mistaken, the sign tool allows you to create a signature field, but when you sign on it it will provide an option to not lock or convert all document to read only before you saving the document with the signature.
