Adding two IDENTICAL PDF files to Portfolio without merging fields. How??

I am trying to create a PDF PORTFOLIO that contains two identical PDFs. The fields (editable content) of each of these two files need to differ. Acrobat is forcing a merge no matter what I try, including creating a dupe file with a different name. HELP!!

Yep...there's a problem with the version on my work computer. Works fine on my personal computer. Thanks for your response! I really appreciate it!

That should not happen when you merge the files in a portfolio. Are you sure that's what you're doing and not merging them into a single PDF?

Yes; quite sure. I'm not trying on a different computer.
