Adobe 8.1 Pro crash - volume licence

Hello,

A client of mine owns an old Adobe Pro 8.1 volume license. This is distributed via SCCM (installation and key). For a few users, Adobe Pro works without any issues. However, for almost all users, Adobe crashes about 2 seconds after starting (its not responding and tells me to reinstall after a while). I would appreciate any possible assistance. Potential complications with Adobe Reader, etc., have been ruled out. The Adobe compatibility mode has also been changed and launched without success. Adobe support is not helpful since the product is too old, and I cannot submit a request for assistance. All the Windows systems are the same and run on Windows 10 22H2.

Thank you. Alex

Acrobat 8 is an extremely old version, not supported by Adobe and not compatible with any current OS. Problems are to be expected, therefore. To maximize the chances of it running you should use the Compatibility Mode and run it under an older OS, like Windows XP or something like that.

I know that its not supported anymore by any OS. As I already said I tried to run it with the compatibility mode but theres no chance to find out why its freezing within 2 seconds after starting Adobe. Cannot figure out why there are a few systems which are able to run this old version of adobe without any problems. They have the same requirements and working in same domain like those which arent working. Does somebody know any other solutions for the freezing problem?
