Adobe Acrobat and Reader crash while copying text from a particular file

Both Adobe Acrobat and Reader (both 2025.1.20438) crash when I do a select text and copy from a particular file. This is on MacOS Sonoma 14.7.5.  I then opened up a Windows 11 VM running Reader 2025.1.20435 and got exactly the same result (!).  Crash is a bit delayed, right-click, copy, go to target, go to paste, BOOM Acrobat gone.

I'm attaching the lethal file.

Hi there

Thank you for reaching out and for sharing the details ,  especially the file. We’re really sorry to hear that the app is crashing for you.

I tried reproducing the issue on my end using the PDF you shared, but I wasn’t able to see the crash happen.

Please update the application to the latest version 25.01.20458 from the help menu > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

If the application still crashes after the update, please share a short screen recording of the steps you take right before the app crashes? This will really help us figure out what might be causing the problem.

Also, it would be great if you could collect and share the Acrobat diagnostic logs. You can follow the steps here: https://adobe.ly/4jbClJi. Once the logs are uploaded, copy the log ID shown in the dialog box and share it with us.

Alternatively, you can also go to this folder on your computer:
%temp%/Acrobat_Diagnostics/Output/
and send us the logs directly from there for further investigation.
