Adobe Acrobat and Reader - December 2024 Updates Now Available!!

I simply cannot get on with this new version. I can't even see page numbers. All I require is a reader without any further guff and and adverts.

Where can I download an offline installer for an older version.

Hi @Mikexx,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble.

You may try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://adobe.ly/4jpyTvp...

Hope this helps.

I was doing very well, thank you, until I installed your latest verson of Reader.

I would have felt much better if you had provided links to historical versions of Reader.

Your link may have been useful to Readers circa 2017 but following these instructions changed nothing. After starting Adobe reader I also note there is no new Preferences folder as per details in the article. Clearly the 8 year old instructions are not relevant to your new version and following them was a waste of everyone's time.

And that was after downloading some 500MB of data and reinstalling 24.005.20320.

Once again I request details of older versions that I would prefer to obatain from you directly rather than obscure third parties.

In the meantime I shall be using PDF24 Reader that is basic and without any adware packages I don't want to purchase but works as required showing page numbers.
