Adobe Acrobat Cloud will not show comments and I cannot Share a PDF document via the cloud

I am having issues with Adobe Acrobat Cloud. 

When opening a shared document in the app the comments will not show up. I am also unable to share a document via the Adobe Acrobat Cloud.

    I hope you are doing well, and we're sorry for the trouble you had with the app and services.


    Could you please share more details about the issue?

    Are you using the desktop Acrobat Pro, or the freeware Acrobat Reader app, the Acrobat web app (https://adobe.ly/4v5peyw), or the mobile app, and on which OS (Windows or Mac) to share the file, and to add/view comments?

    When you try to share, what actually happens: a greyed-out Share button, an error message (if so, the wording and the screenshot), or the share appears to send, but the recipient sees nothing?

    Are you signed in with an Adobe ID in the app where the issue occurs? (Yes/No).

    Is it happening with all the PDFs, or is it specific to one PDF?


    For testing purposes, can you please try with a different PDF and try sharing it? If you are using the desktop app, please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 26.001.21691, Planned update, Jun 25, 2026. Check for any pending updates by navigating to Menu > Help> Check for Updates. Install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again.


    For the comments not showing, two things to confirm:

    • Open the shared file from the cloud, not a downloaded copy. In Acrobat Home, look under Shared by you or Shared by others (web: the Documents/shared area). Comments live on the cloud copy, so a local copy will look empty.

    • Make sure you are signed in with the same Adobe ID that the file was shared to. If a private review was shared to one account and you are signed into another, the comments will not appear. Also, open the Comments pane on the right and set the comment filter to All Authors and All Types.


    For not being able to share:

    • Sign out and back in (Menu > Help > Sign out), then restart and sign in with the account that holds your Acrobat subscription.

    • Check that your Adobe cloud storage is not full, since a full quota blocks the upload that sharing depends on.

    Also, check when you share, is the toggle for letting people comment turned on? If a file is shared for viewing only, no comments will ever appear on it.
