Adobe Acrobat Crashes Continually

Am using Acrobat 2023.003.20215

I've got two Acrobat files.

File 1. 5666 pages - 1.24gb

File 2. 332 pages - 40.7mb

I open file 1.

I try to insert file 2.

It crashes.

Any suggestions?

What is your OS and version?

What is the origin of those PDF files?

What does it mean: “I try to insert file 2.”? Are you trying to merge 1 and 2?

The two files were created using Acrobat on my computer.

Yes - merging the two files into one.
