Adobe Acrobat crashes upon opening; error code 13000 is displayed in the dialog box

I am using an Apple Macbook Pro.  I am subscribed to Acrobat DC.

Starting just today, everytime I try to open a PDF file Adobe Acrobat crashes with a dialogue box that states that the error code is 13000.  When I try the troubleshooting guide, error code 13000 is not listed.  I have uninstalled Acrobat manually and reinstalled it.

I am also having the same trouble?  What was the resolution?

I'm having the same issue. Does the reinstallation work?

That may also be a macOS code. Where does the troubleshot guide point to? Adobe or Apple?

I would try the following:

  1. Uninstall Acrobat.
  2. Run AcroCleaner: AcroCleaner — Acrobat Desktop Tools and Utilities
  3. Download a fresh copy of Acrobat.
  4. Install Acrobat.

Often, this helps, as AcroCleaner may delete what makes Acrobat crashing.
