Adobe Acrobat crashing on Citrix VDA 2402

Hello everyone,

 

I'm experiencing an issue I couldn't solve for mothns.

We recently deployed an Citrix Multisession non-persistant env with Windows Server 2022 as OS.

We installed Adobe Acrobat with the availble Windows Server 2019 64x Download because 2022 is non existent. We currently run VDA 2402 LTSR on all systems and for citrix standards nowadays it works perfectly and smooth

 

In the deployed env for some people it isn't possible to start Adobe Acrobat. It opens up for 3-5 seconds, freezes and crashes after that. It opens fine on the golden Image and there are no signs of problems there.

I have an crash report but it only tells me that my Acrobat.dll is broke. I tried reinstalling Adobe, repairing and reinstalling my VC++ and other Versions of Adobe, but nothing solved my problem here. I have here the Crash Report but its in german, so I hope someone can read it.

 

I'm actually running out of possible solutions and using Edge isn't an option here. So has anyone expirenced this problem somewhere?

Thank you for sharing the details. It seems we need to analyze the logs and the environment. Please ask your Admin to raise a support ticket with our Enterprise support team via the Admin console.

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry for the troubled experience. 

Does the golden image have a customized OS? If you run that OS on a bare-metal, aka a new test machine, and install Acrobat, does it have the same issue?

thank you for your response. Wdym about an customized OS? With my knowledge I would say no. We installed on a vSphere vm normal Windows Server 2022 Datacenter. The Image is from the current evaluation Windows Server 2022 download from Microsoft and was after installing converted to licenced Windows Server 2022 Datacenter. On the golden image there are no problems and Adobe Acrobat runs fine. It only crashes on my published Machines which were created from an snapshot of the golden Image.
