Adobe Acrobat DC PRO replace metadata does not accept user rights

First: this works earlier. When working stops, only way is uninstall and clean computer (registrys etc) and re-install. Then, it work some month, and must repeat. 

Metadata replace. 

My Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is buyed and annually payed and legal. Finnish and Win10Pro 64 bit. Acrobat Pro DC is 32 bit reason 64 bit not available. 

Notify: My Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is Finnish version, so I must translate some text what Acrobat say. 

File -> preferences, Other Metadata. Advanced ("Lisäasetukset", it is second selection). "Save", "you have not rights to save this location, ask rights from admin, do you want save to <my name> folder". ... ok, yes. again "you have no rights.." and same. Ok, ok, and eternal loop. 

 

I have older metadatafile, it is, when this work, I export it xmp-file. So... "Replace". Then I select it older xmp-file. "You have no rights...". 

Okay. "Ask admin". Ok, ok... where is my pocket mirror... "dear me, can you put rights...". So, I am admin of the my computer. Ok. I check it pdf-file-rights and xmp-file rights. It is right. Also I adjust it rights: I take it folder, it files, and put rights "every one who can touch my computer have rights!". Also I adjust program filesx86/adobe folder "all rights to everyone". So, I remove all possible limits and make it unsafe but open.

SO! Error is not rights. Problem is any problem with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. If I fully remove it, this xmp edit work sometimes. Until... "no rights". 

So: I files I have are owned by me, and no any limits, why I cannot replace it metadata? We can forget problems with Windows user rights etc.

Are you able to perform other edits to this file? For example, add a comment and then save it. Does it allow you to do that? If not, then the issue has nothing to do with the metadata, but with your ability to edit the file.

What is the file located? Is it on your local computer, or on a network drive?

I also recommend you go to Edit - Preferences - Security (Enhanced) and untick the "Enable Enhanced Security" box, as well as "Protected Mode", "Run in AppContainer" or anything else with a similar name (Adobe keeps changing the verbiage there, unfortunately), then try again.

PROBLEM SOLVED. 

 

"Protected mode". 

I found this: "file -> preferences", it is... "this document preferences". Last tab "additional settings", in finnish version "lisäasetukset". There is "Suojattu tila: päällä", it is... "protected mode: ON". 

 

Edit - default settings (ctrl-K), "protection (enchanged)" "take protected mode use in start up (pre version)". This tick must be OFF, and then metadata edit is possible. This protect only metadata.

What does you mean with "filesx86/adobe folder" ?

"c:\program files (x86)/Adobe". Install folder of the Adobe Acrobat Pro. Notify: 

- Problem is with all pdf-files. I have hundred pdf-files, generators: Corel Draw, Adobe Acrobat PRO Dc, Word/excel, +++. 

- Rights of the pdf-files it is not problem. So, any pdf-file, "preferences", rights, protections etc etc- nothing problem

- Also xmp-file, not this type problems

- Happened suddendly, "how to fix" is complete uninstall Adobe Acrobat PRO DC and registry clean (ccleaner...)

- I try also "last possible jinx" and it is just it "install folder of the Adobe Acrobat PRO DC", and protections & rights All Accepted.

 

So, problem is: Adobe Acrobat DC suddendly think I have no rights for xmp. I cannot export it. I cannot import it.
