Adobe Acrobat DC wont default to hand tool

Hoping someone on here can help as i'm losing my mind.

I've recently updated to the new version of acrobat DC and my hand tool is no longer the tool PDF opens to by default.

I've tried various methods mentioned on these forums to try and solve this issue but nothing has worked.

Does anyone have a solution, incredibly painful having to manually click the hand tool EVERY TIME i open a PDF!!!

This did not fix the issue.  Fresh 64-bit installation updated to 22.2.20212 and it still defaults to the selection tool instead of the hand tool.

I'm running into the same issue and the various solutions that have been provided no longer work after this recent update.  Actual Adobe employees say to set Touch Mode to Always and to Turn on "Always display the keyboard selection cursor" in Accessibility.  This no longer works after the latest update.

It would be so much easier if they would simply create the option in Preferences to select your default tool.  There are literally hundreds of posts with users having this problem and Adobe seems to think the user is the problem.

Totally agree! Its only after the most recent update that these various 'fixes' posted everywhere no longer work.

Adding the option to select your default tool would be perfect! You'd think that would be already implemented though!

Need adobe staff to comment please.....
