Adobe Acrobat edit and print production tools were just removed from Creative Cloud without notice

Today unexpectedly Acrobat presented me with a prompt to “Upgrade Now” in order to continue using the edit and print production tools (and presumably many other core tools).

It took me to a plans and pricing page for: “Acrobat PRO + AI Assistant Plus Reactivate a plan to keep being productive.”

Apparently, I’m now expected to pay A$40-A$60 per month in addition to my already paid for in advance annual Creative Cloud Pro subscription!

What the hell Adobe?! This is absolutely disgusting behaviour, and frankly illegal. I paid for a service and it needs to be honoured. Adobe will certainly be in breach of Australian consumer law otherwise.

If Adobe want to restructure their plans so that Adobe is an overpriced AI-bloated thing that no-one asked for, that’s their prerogative. But for users of the core existing tools present when you disable the awful “New Acrobat”, just leave it alone. It has for years been a professionals-focused powerhouse for pre-press production work. Please leave that functionality usable without all these half-baked AI “features” that we don’t actually need and certainly don’t wish to pay extra for.

Please provide an answer on how I can continue using the service that I have paid for without having to add a subscription for new features I don’t need or want.
