Adobe Acrobat export quality issues

Hi, over the last couple of months I have noticed something that I used to have no issues with is becoming a problem. I bring a image from AutoDesk Fusion 360 into Acrobat, then edit/crop/add PDF clear background "water mark". Everything looks great, then I'll export the image into a JPGE, it will do it, but the result is quite fuzzy, out of focus. It was not like this just months ago. Now...I can't use the image it is just not professional looking.

Thank you:

Rick

Here is a quick look...

Spademan S4-RBL - 249 KB - 4578 x 2292 pixels.

S727 Binding Heel - 992 x 605 pixels.

Clearly a huge difference in size, which is part (but only part of) the problem.

Crucially, JPEG was invented for phorographs (that's the "P" in JPEG) and makes tiny files uses the gradual colour changes in real world image. JPEG is extremely poor for art, for renders, and most especially for text. Suggest you try PNG. The latest JPEG expecially shows also very high JPEG compression and quality loss. As to why it's a radically different size, that's why I asked for the PDF. Do you, by the way, have Photoshop available?

Hi Test...as I said before how do I attach the PDFs that made the JPEGs into this message. When I export the PDF into  JPEG (yes I know the P is for photograph) how do I control the size (in pixels) to the output? Yes I have Photoshop through the monthly lease with Lightroom also. Something I've look into is how big is the files are when I export them from Fusion 360 and I can control the size in custom. But the water mark is the biggest question of quality.

I'd definitely recommend you use Photoshop for this purpose. It is NOT a general PDF editor but it makes an excellent job of turning a PDF into a bitmap. You get to choose the EXACT size when you open it, rather than trying to fight Acrobat's settings. And you get to choose the exact JPEG quality setting (if it must be JPEG).

You need to start by deciding what your actual target size is in pixels. The pictures you posted differ wildly. The size is a function of the specific PDF, so please share it if you'd like an opinion - if not on the forum, share it some other way and post a link.

I would check your preferences for exporting from PDF.  I wonder if your output quality settings got bumped.

Worth a look to see if they are set for an appropriate resolution.

My best,

Dave

Hi, and thank you...I up the settings to "max" and that didn't help. Any other thoughts?

Can you share a good set (PDF, JPEG), from a few months ago? We may be able to see if you changed something.

Here are a set of them. The Burt Binding is from Feb of 2020, the Spademan July of 2020, and the Salomon is from last week. Well this is interesting now I can't seem to attach the PDFs that the JPEGs were generated from. But you can see the degradation of my watermark logo. So how can a PDF be attached? I can miss the silliest things.
