Adobe Acrobat extension ("Online PDFs" option) breaks auto-print / shows blank page for web-delivered PDFs
Hello,
We maintain a JSF/PrimeFaces web application that generates PDF reports (via JasperReports) and opens them in a new browser tab for automatic printing.
Since a recent update of the Adobe Acrobat: PDF edit, convert, sign tools extension (version 26.7.2.4), some of our users are unable to view or print these PDFs: the new tab opens blank/white and no print dialog appears.
We confirmed the extension is the cause through testing: disabling the "Online PDFs" option (Extension options → General → "Open PDFs in Acrobat from your browser" → uncheck "Online PDFs") immediately resolves the issue on affected machines, restoring Chrome's native PDF viewer and correct behavior.
Environment:
- Chrome version: 151.0.7922.109
- Adobe Acrobat extension version: 26.7.2.4
- OS: Windows 10/11
Could you please look into why enabling "Online PDFs" causes blank rendering and broken auto-print for web-delivered PDFs, and confirm whether this is a known regression? We suspect other web applications relying on similar in-browser PDF print flows are affected as well.
Thank you.
