Adobe Acrobat - extracted PDF pages are HUGE file sizes

Question

Anyone have a fix for this? When we extract a page from a PDF, the single-page file saves as an outrageous size. I haven't been able to find a setting to fix this, and manually reducing file sizes when you're extracting dozens of pages at times is really burdensome.

If you have Adobe Acrobat Pro,you can find out what is using up all that space by selecting File>Save As Other>Optimized PDF. In the upper right corner of the dialog, ¥øu will see an "Audit space useage" button. That will tell you what is taking up how much space. You could then create a preflight profile to reduce the file size by stripping the extra data, and then run that profile in the Action Wizard on multiple documents with just a couple of mouse clicks.
