Question

Adobe Acrobat is now impossible to use - a waste of time and money

I've been trying to create a pdf and am having no end of grief trying to manage the constant repositioning of images and text. I've looked at multiple forums for solutions and, yes, looked for possible solutions in Adobe itself but to no avail.

I've tried to find a way of turning off scan optimization but can't find anything near that. I've turned off the text box that some have suggested and it still keeps misbehaving.

This is the most frustrating experience ever. Why am I paying you for this when it's impossible ti=o use?

Is anyone else having this isue and/or found a ework around?

@grace_6090 I have no issues with Acrobat... It could be on how you are creating the file. Typically, I would either use InDesign or Illustrator and do the bulk of the work there such as repositioning images, placing text, using character or paragraph styles, tabs in a brochure, catalog or poster; and then export or save as a PDF to be use for printing purposes or for online viewing.  It's easier this way versus doing a page layout in Acrobat.

Hi,

I am sorry about the clear frustration you are experiencing. Can you describe:

  • what you are trying to achieve
  • which application you are using to create the document before exporting to pdf
  • the exporting steps and options you are selecting to create the pdf
