Adobe Acrobat Preventing Sleep on Mac Computers

I’ve been experiencing an issue with my Mac Studio not going to sleep and keeping the display from turning off automatically. I’ve narrowed down the problem and identified a few programs that might be the culprit. I believe the latest version of Acrobat is preventing my computer from going to sleep. I’ve tried forcing my Mac to turn off the screen after a minute, but with Acrobat open, it won’t turn off the screen, leaving the display on for hours. But I also believe there are a few other programs that have also been affecting my Mac at the same time. This would include Illustrator. Once those programs are closed, the Mac starts going to sleep.

Also having this issue, and have replicated it on two machines. All apps closed but Acrobat is open = no screensaver or sleep. This creates a huge security risk. It’s driving me crazy.

Hi @WK37979934hxvc ,

Sorry for the troubled experience, and thanks for reaching out.
Given the scenario you are experiencing. This requires testing and the collection of product logs from the machine.

I would suggest you reach out to the support team.

Thank you for your patience.

I've run into this same issue, has anybody found a work around besides having to close the programs?

Doesn't look like it, because I'm having the exact same issue with Acrobat and Illustrator. So glad I'm paying  roughly $90 CAD for sub par software.

Hi @jackie_8896

I have Acrobat installed, and it is always open on my machine. My laptop works normally, going to sleep and the screen saver mode without any trouble.

Here is my system info:

Could you share details of your machine and what the sleep time is set to? And have you tried changing it and seeing if that makes any difference?
