Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 (Classic) - Chrome Extension Prompting for Subscription / Subscription Required Error

I am using a licensed standalone version of Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 (Classic Release - Version 2017.012.30262) installed on my company workstation.

Recently, I noticed that the Adobe Acrobat Chrome extension (web extension) is not functioning properly with my installed desktop license. When I try to use features within Google Chrome (such as converting web pages to PDF or editing/combining files), the extension asks me to sign in or claims that a paid subscription (Acrobat Pro DC / Document Cloud) is required.

Since I already have a fully licensed Acrobat Pro 2017 desktop application, I expected the Chrome extension to work in integration with my local desktop installation.

Could someone clarify the following?

1. Does the current Adobe Acrobat Chrome extension support integration with classic perpetual desktop licenses like Acrobat Pro 2017, or does it exclusively require a subscription-based Document Cloud / Acrobat Pro plan?

2. Is there a specific setting or legacy extension version required to enable local desktop processing through the Chrome extension for Acrobat 2017?

Any guidance or official documentation on this compatibility would be greatly appreciated.
