Hello Team,

Iam working in the PDF which is in PDF Version - 1.6 with Fast web view - NO. Per client requirment - Fast web view must be "yes" and the PDF version must be '1.4'.

While trying to change this through "tools > PDF tools > I optimize, Iam getting error msg 'expected a dict object', and the file is not getting saved.

Please help me in fixing this Issue.

Thank & Regards

Bindhu

Hi Bindhu,

Thanks for reaching out. As described above, you are getting the error 'Expected a dict object while Ioptimizing' while changing the file, correct?

Could you please share some more information for a better understanding:

  • What is the change you are trying to make and what is the workflow/steps you are doing ?
  • Was this PDF created with Acrobat, or a 3rd Party tool? Many 3rd Party tools do not create well formed PDFs.
  • Has the PDF been through a lot of modifications? As it may mess up the PDF internally if a lot of modifications have been made.

Please try performing a "SaveAs" on the PDF first . If this doesn't work, then run the optimizer on it and check if that helps.

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal

Hi Amal,

Thank you for the reponse.

This PDF was created through Client tool, and we are doing changes as per the client requirements like (hyperlinking, Fonts review, etc.,). Post changes as per the requirements, we need to convert the PDF versin to 1.4 and the Fast webview to 'yes'.

While doing this iam getting the error as 'Expected a dict object ' and could not save the file. We have tried the 'SAVEAS' option, PDF was not even responding to save the file.
