Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 freezes when optimizing large PDF files

Hi, I'm having the issue with Acrobat Pro 2020 freezing towards the end of optimizing a large PDF file (~1,400 pages) with 100% disk usage on Task Manager. I've been trying to figure out this issue for quite a while and have tried a few things while troubleshooting:

  • Updated to latest software version
  • Ran a repair on the software
  • Uninstall and re-installed software
  • Upgraded to a SSD
  • Move the larger PDF from a shared drive to the local computer
  • Reloaded the computer with a fresh Windows install and just had Acrobat Pro 2020 installed and the PDF file locally on the computer

 

I can provide the process dumps I gathered while the issue was occurring. If anyone could give me a little guidance here, it would be greatly appreciated.

I just had the exact same problem with a 1700 page document. 
It took days to optimize, and then froze on last page.

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble, and the delayed response.

 

Do you still experience the issue? We rolled out a planned update (20.005.30748) which has many stability and performance improvements.

 

Would you mind updating your application to the latest version and letting us know if the issue is fixed?
