Adobe Acrobat Pro (64 bit) for Windows crashes (exits) whenever I try to save a PDF

Whenever I try to save a scanned file to either my Dropbox or local storage on my PC, Acrobat shuts down and the file is lost. This is a new behavior. Please provide a fix ASAP as the problem is inteffering with my work as a news ediitor.
