Adobe Acrobat Pro is crashing when trying to zooming on PDFs and use PDFs with embedded videos. Below you will find some information as well as some troubleshooting steps myself and my IT team have tried to resolve this issue.

  • Windows updates completed and rebooted.
  • Repair the Adobe installation
  • Performed clean installation of Adobe
  • Check for updates in adobe, current version is Adobe Acrobat 64-bit 24.003.20054
  • Disable New Acrobat
  • Device has two GPUs and error indicates Adobe was trying to use both. Updated NVIDIA GPU to latest release from website to try and avoid possible conflicts.

I am following up to see if your issue is fixed. If you need our assistance, please let us know.

Could you please share the latest logs with us so we can investigate further.

Steps:

  1. Close Acrobat.
  2. Download and run the Diagnostics utility: [Diagnostics Utility](https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-diagnostics.html)
  3. Select Advanced Logs and check 'system apps information' Select "Start Diagnostics."
  4. Open Acrobat and reproduce the issue.

We are experiencing Acrobat crashing as well for most of our users. Blue circle of death, not responding, can't even open preferences without crashing. Uninstall and reinstall helps a little but not fixing fully. This started on 9/3. Acrobat version 24.1
