Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2019 Missing PitStop Pro Toolbar & Third Party Plug-Ins Menu

Hi,

We have a problem with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (Version 2019.021.20049) installed on an Apple Mac (running OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan). Sometimes when you run the Acrobat Pro DC software the Enfocus Pitstop Pro toolbar (3rd Party Plug-in) is missing. Sometimes there is no "About Third Party Plug-Ins" menu either under the "Adobe Acrobat Pro > Help menu".

We cannot update the Operating System this Apple Mac uses due to other software we have installed. The Adobe Acrobat Pro DC version therefore needs to stay on version 2019 (continuous release) and it has no more updates available for this version (its currently on version 2019.021.20049). We have Enfocus Pitstop Pro version 13 update 2 installed which needs to be left on this version which is compatible with Adobe Acrobat DC 2019.

On the Enfocus website they mention a fix in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC for the PitStop Pro toolbar disappearing. In Adobe Acrobat Pro DC they suggest to go to the Preferences > General option then make sure that the “Open documents as new tabs in the same window (requires relaunch)” is enabled. This has been done but we still have the problem where the PitStop Pro toolbar sometimes will not appear.

The Adobe Acrobat Pro DC has to be restarted a few times to try and bring up the Pitstop Pro toolbar and eventually it will appear. Does anyone know how to fix these problems?

Thanks in advance.

PitStop 13 update 2 doesn't officially support that version of Acrobat I'm afraid. It can't as it was released a long time before 2019 was released. So it would not have been tested.

If you look subsequent versions of PitStop took the year of release as their name, so after that version were PitStop 2017, PitStop 2018, PitStop 2019 etc.
The highest version you can go to that still supports El Capitan is PitStop 2019.
if you want to try that contact me and I can get you an installer to try. (andrewb@enfocus.com)
Current version is 2020.
