Adobe Acrobat Pro DC - Content Preparation Progress

I keep getting a dialogue box when opening a document to say "Content Preparation Progress" - "Please wait while document is being prepared for reading" which delays access to a document and is very annoying.

Can I turn this feature off?

Regards,

Walter

For Adobe Pro DC on the Mac I found the fix, at least so far, like this... Go to Preferences, Under Catagories select "Reading", and in "Screen Reading Options", use the pull-down menu next to "Page vs Document" select the "Only Read the Current Visable Page" then hit "OK"... So Far So Good...  as I closed Pro and reopened many docs in multiple ways with a resounding success... 😁

This helped.  I created my resume in MS Word and then converted it to a pdf file.  I initially had no trouble opening the file in pdf format.  However when I decided to insert a hyperlink to my LinkedIn profile in my resume in the MS Word file, which worked , this error only showed up after I converted it to pdf and then tried to open the pdf file.  It appears I can't have a hyperlink in an Adobe file unless I'm willing to upgrade my Adobe and start paying Adobe's outrageous monthly fee to upgrade for this privilege.
