Adobe Acrobat Pro DC - I can't fill and sign!

When I use the fill and sign option on page 1 of my document, and I click the checkmark, all I get is a hand and not the checkmark. When I left click the hand, it turns into a cross? But when I go to page 2 of my document, I can place checkmarks? Does anyone know what is wrong?
